Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 August 2026
flightwatch is a flight tracker. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect little.
What we collect
- Your email address — used to sign you in (via a one-time link) and to send flight alerts you ask for.
- The flights you track — the flight number and date you enter, and the live status we fetch for them.
- A push token — only if you enable notifications, so we can deliver alerts to your device.
- Compensation referral clicks — if you choose to be referred to a claims partner, we record that referral for attribution.
How it’s used
Your email, tracked flights, and push token are linked to your account and used only to run the service — showing your flights and notifying you of changes. We do not sell your data, show ads, use advertising identifiers (IDFA), or track you across other apps or websites.
Who we share it with
- Flight data provider — we send a flight number and date to look up status.
- Email provider — to deliver your sign-in link and alert emails.
- Apple Push Notification service (via Expo) — to deliver push alerts.
- Claims partners — only when you choose to be referred for compensation.
Retention & deletion
You can delete your account from the app at any time, which removes your account, tracked flights, and push tokens. You can also stop notifications by signing out or disabling them in your device settings.
